Norway is defeated by Austria 5-1.
In his 120th appearance for the national team, Arnautovic scores two goals. Austria may now claim their own group championship after their easy 5-1 victory.
Austria displayed a combination of tactical play and astute execution throughout most of the contest against Norway in Linz. They returned to mastery over their ambitions of winning the Nations League group, but they delighted supporters with a 5-1 victory against the most formidable opponent. Once more, their fervor, quickness, and effectiveness had a lasting impact.
The starting eleven for the match against Kazakhstan included three changes, according to head coach Ralf Rangnick. Arnautovic took over as the team's leader in attack from Adamu, Mwene took over for Prass, and Pentz began play in goal. Rangnick said, "I expect a very physical game, and Marko Arnautovic certainly has a few advantages in that regard," and he was shown correct from the start.

Baumgartner's shot had to be blocked by Norwegian goaltender Nyland, who had to demonstrate technique. Yet Austria's defense was tightly shut down by the two best strikers in Norway, Sorloth and Haaland. As Haaland was about to send his shot over the bar, for instance, Trauner stopped him.
Except in the 39th minute, when Sorloth's header tied the score at 1-1 for Norway. When Sorloth created space in Austria's defense following a free kick, Pentz attempted to intercept the shot but he hesitated and was unable to do so. Laimer's strike, which was put in the center of the goal, came close to bringing the match to a close draw between two evenly matched sides.
### Joyful occasions
Twice then, the stadium's floodlights failed. Baumgartner was taken down on a left-wing attack a few minutes later, and the referee quickly responded with a penalty, giving Austria one of its best moments. With poise and calm, Arnautovic moved Austria into the lead in the 49th minute.
win 2-1. After the stadium awoke, Austria grabbed command of the situation. At 3-1, Lienhart scored again, this time off a Schmid corner in the 58th. At the hour, Posch, another of his defensive comrades, scored a more luxurious cross from Sabitzer to put Austria up 4-1. Arnautovic came off to a raucous cheer from the crowd that was overwhelmed by what was happening to Norway.
