The Tata Company is going to Chairman N Chandrasekaran declared on Tuesday that the company would generate 500,000 manufacturing jobs in industries like semiconductors, electric vehicles (EVs), batteries, and associated sectors over the next five years. At a seminar hosted by the Indian Foundation for Quality Management, Chandrasekaran emphasised the critical role that manufacturing plays in India's aspiration to become a developed country.

Without the creation of jobs in the industrial sector, Chandrasekaran underlined, India will not be able to realise its goals of becoming a "Viksit Bharat" (Developed India). Approximately one million individuals join the Indian labour force each month, therefore the creation of jobs in the industrial sector is crucial to the nation's continued development.
